Spotlighting human trafficking

The Jesup Ministerial Association is sponsoring three events in May on the topic of stopping human trafficking.  This problem has received recently attention both locally and worldwide.  Our events will cast a spotlight on this issue by bringing the public and the churches together for two forums and one fundraiser.  

 

SPOTLIGHT ON ENDING HUMAN TRAFFICKING   

#1  Wednesday, May 9, 6:30pm - Forum on International Child Sex Trafficking @ 1st Presbyterian Church. Speaker: Rev Bob Abel, Remember Nhu organization (Thailand)

#2  Wednesday, May 16, 6:30pmForum on Local/Domestic Labor and Sex Trafficking @ Jesup United Methodist Church. Speakers: Christian Junker, formerly with International Justice Mission and Karen Siler, Friends of the Family, Waterloo

#3  Wednesday, May 23, 6:30pm5K Run/Walk starting at the Pavilion in downtown Jesup. $20.  Proceeds will go to all three organizations.  Register by May 15 to receive a tee shirt.
